Cut Scores

Psymark Letters and Numbers tests were administered to seventy-one transitional kindergarten general education students ages 4 - 5 years old in a school district in Southern California in February, 2024. The analysis of the Accuracy scores using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) revealed the following results.

Quartile 75%

Group: Proficient

Score: 78 and above

Quartile 33.3 %

Group: Emerging

Score: 67 - 77

Quartile: 15%

Group: Observation

Score: 53 - 66

Quartile: 10%

Group: Intervention

Score: 52 and Under

While these cut scores were used to interpret results on a relatively small group of students, they may be used as a resource to assist in score interpretation.
